At state Street Clay we offer a variety of classes and clay experiences. Classes are open and we have posted schedules . Please follow us on social media for updates!
One- Time Clay Experiences
Have you ever wanted to make your own pottery? Our one- time clay experiences are perfect for date night or a girl's night out. Both wheel throwing and hand building experiences are available. Our goal will be to make your very own pieces of pottery in our one-time class. All skill levels are welcome.
After class we will glaze them in the color of your choice and fire them for you. Your artwork will be ready for pick up 2-3 weeks after your class; we will contact you when it is complete.

6-Week Intro to Wheel Throwing
Do you want to throw? This class will focus on learning to throw on the wheel. Students will learn how to center, pull cylinders, make bowls, mugs, handles and glazing. Students will be given one 3hr day pass per week to practice what they've learned. Clay, glazes, and firings are included with the class.

Introduction to Clay
Are you looking to start a new hobby? The introduction to clay class is a 4-week introduction to our studio and what ceramics might offer you! You will learn the basics of clay and studio etiquette. Students will be introduced to hand building tools, techniques as well as wheel throwing. You will also learn the basics of finishing and glazing pieces.

6-Week Intro to Hand Building
Do you want to make things by hand? This class will focus on learning to hand-build with clay. We will practice pinch pots, coil building, soft and hard slab construction along with a variety of surface treatments. Students will also learn how to use the clay extruder and slab roller. Students will be given one 3hr day pass per week to practice what they've learned. Clay, glazes, and firings are included with the class.
